The TacFire MAR078-S is a steel AR-15 receiver end plate featuring a center, ambidextrous Quick Detach (QD) sling swivel attachment point. It retails for roughly $6 to $20 depending on the retailer (e.g., NBS AR-15 End Plate W/ Center Ambi QD Sling Attachment or Tacfire Quick Detach End Plate) and is compatible with both Mil-Spec and commercial buffer tubes. Replacing your standard end plate with the MAR078-S requires partially disassembling the lower receivers' buffer system.
Required Tools:
- AR-15 Armorer’s Wrench or a castle nut wrench
- Vice block/vise (Optional, but highly recommended for stability)
- Small flathead screwdriver
- Punch and hammer (if you plan to stake the castle nut)
