A simple 25acp revolver with a fantastic story to tell. At some point during WWII Sgt Ernest G. Craig acquired this revolver, he notated his ownership of the revolver on a scrap piece of paper. Preliminary research shows that piece of scrap paper was a piece of sheet music from early 1900's. Traced to the cover sheet by way of each sheet having a distinct hand drawn border. A photocopy and information on that is included. Declassified records show in May of 1944 he was a PVT in Northern Ireland and in August 1944 He was a CPL. in his documentation of ownership he listed himself as a SGT. Presumably before he left Europe, listed as Army Co A 10th regiment The 10th Infantry Regiment's campaigns included the invasion of Normandy, fighting in Northern France, the Rhineland, the Battle of the Bulge, and Central Europe.W ith a deeper search you're bound to figure out what his personal involvements were and how he became a SGT! The revolver is from Germany and while there is little information on it, it appears the company is still in business outside the firearms world. Have a great time solving these mysteries and I suspect many more! Items included are copies of the 2 declassified documents found, a photocopy of the sheet music, a holster, SGT Craig's documentation and the revolver. Be the person who tells this story For SGT Craig!
